RECIPE: Cool Ham Rolls With Peanut Sauce

This is outstanding Jen and so simple to make. I used ham, green onion, and cilantro, but also used garden greens from my yard which included shiso (perilla), mizuna (Japanese green), different varieties of lettuce and from the grocery store enoki mushrooms and kaiware which is daikon spouts. It was like eating salad with your hands - so healthy! I only added 2 T peanut butter to the sauce and instead of cold water, added warm water to make sauce easy to mix. The sauce is delicious! We had this as appetizer along with Windsor Vineyards Gewurtztraminer and Garlicky Mushroom Masala Omelet before our July 4th barbecue of chicken later. Thank you Jen for posting this great recipe. Made for ZWT4.

RECIPE: Jalapeno Popper Burgers

These were SOOOO good! Delicious! The only thing I would do different would be to add some seasoning salt to the cream cheese mixture and maybe a sprinkle of cheddar cheese since I'm such a cheese lover! I used about a tablespoon of the jalapeno in my burgers and they had just a hint of heat and a bunch of flavor. If you are brave and like things SPICY then two tablespoons would be good for you. Just a hint: Make sure not to touch the seeds inside the jalapeno, that is what will burn you! Once those are out, you are OK to chop the green of the jalapeno! Wonderful flavor and slight heat made a great burger! I could only get 5 burgers out of the 2 lbs of meat though. They cooked perfectly anyway! Thanks for sharing!

RECIPE: Better Than Sex Cake

My mom asked me to track down and make this recipe for her a few months ago and I'm so glad she did! I thought the cake was FANTASTIC and I will definitely make it again! The recipe was easy to follow and seamless. I used Mrs. Richardson's Caramel-Butterscotch topping, which I think (along with the Heath toffee pieces) really pushed it over the edge! Wow! Make sure to allow a lot of time for the sweetened condensed milk to soak into the cake (I even used the back of a spoon after about 20 minutes to kind of thin it out and push some into the holes to speed the process along a bit and make the inside extra moist. =) What can I say, I made it late at night! ) The cake's extremely rich and it was a little too much so for my hubby, but the rest of us adored it! Thank you so much!!
