I'm not really into red meat much so we eat a LOT of chicken around here. I also love tuna fish and I have a really good recipe for tuna patties posted. You will never find me eating shrimp or any other seafood except tuna and cod (and I'm trying to like salmon since I keep reading about how healthy it is).
In 2006 I've steered away from meat even more than usual and now I'll have several meals a week without meat or poultry. This is a bit of an adjustment for my husband, but he's surviving
. Since finding Recipezaar I have greatly improved my cooking skills and have a large collection of fantastic recipes! I've also developed a taste for healthier foods. Now that I've been doing so much homemade cooking, I've found that I can't even tolerate the amount of sodium that is in so many processed foods. There are still many products such as canned cream soups that I still use and enjoy, but I use them much less frequently and tend to buy the reduced sodium versions.
I love to involve my children in cooking and hopefully I'm doing a good job of teaching them how to eat and cook healthfully.
