I live in suburban Iowa with my husband and your 2 1/2 year old Yorkie, Tucker. He is the king of the house. I teach Family and Consumer Sciences (Home Ec.) in a rurual high school and spend way to much time at school.

I love to bake when I have time and I'm learning to love cooking dinner every night. I am always looking for new and easy things that my husband will like. (He's a lot pickier than he thinks he is!)

Being a teacher, my food hero is Alton Brown from the Food Network. I love the simplicity and science behind food. I like basic principles that I can apply to more than one thing and I hate unitasking kitchen gadgets.
