The picture is because we still believe in fairies....
I am a homeschooling mother of two. My children help me cook most of the time, so I tend to look for recipes that are "kid friendly" and don't take a ton of time to prep.
We are a mostly Feingold/Organic family due to my son's ADHD and hyper tendencies, (as well as my own), so my main focus is "good for you" foods, but easy to make with a flair or twist. My son and I are especially allergic to chocolate (I know, I know, kills me too!) so I experiment a lot with carob and non-chocolate recipes. I have come up with some amazing ones over the years and love to share with others. My ultimate cake right now is the german chocolate "carob" cake. I have made this now for several birthdays and parties and it is a HIT! No one knows it is carob and I get told repeatedly that it is the best cake they have ever had. Gotta love that! :o)
My goal in life was to find the perfect sticky toffee pudding recipe. I have now found it in Carol's Sticky Toffee Pudding. This is the most amazing dessert (next to my carob cake) I've ever tasted.
We are big into salads, grilled fish and all things with an Asian flair. I love the spring and summer times with all the inexpensive produce. We also love desserts! All hail desserts!
