about me

My husband and I live in southern California with our four critter children, and lots of family and friends nearby. We love it here-- southern California is such a wonderful place to live (well, except when theres an earthquake... then almost anywhere else would be better!!!).

Some of my interests include reading, animals, alternative medicine (I'm a big fan of Dr. Andrew Weil), healthy cooking and baking, and protecting the environment.

In the near future I'd like to get a solar oven and try it out--not only because it's environmentally friendly, but because it would be nice to be able to bake during the warmer months without heating up the kitchen.

Favorite Foods:

My favorite foods are usually pretty healthy--both because I feel so much better when I eat right and because making healthy food that tastes great is such a fun challenge.

I also adore health food stores! They are filled with interesting and unusual items that beg exploring. And I really like the idea of, and the taste of, organically grown food.

Having said all of that...I must admit that I love (LOVE!!!) cheesecake--and I eat a nice big calorie laden piece of it at least a couple of times a year. Life is just too short to never eat cheesecake!
