Well, I've been cooking forever and I don't plan to stop any time soon as I have many years to go. I live with my Lithuanian/Russian, American-born fiance (soon-to-be hubby any day now) who lives on nothing but hamburgers, french-fries and Sunkist pop or Red Bull - no joking. This is frustrating as a cook so I keep already marinated and seasoned hamburger patties in the freezer for him and cook real food for all the normal eaters I encounter.

I cook Greek - so, many of the cheeses and fish aren't easily found outside of Greece... unless you take a trip down to the Greek market or a trip to the specialty section of your grocer.

Most of my recipes are from my favorite cookbooks and my absolute favorite newspapers. I also use this as a place to save the recipes I want to try but haven't gotten the chance to. Everything I post is something that I would eat. I think I'm pretty good at figuring out if something will taste good by looking at just the recipe.

I only use pure ingredients - no corn syrup, no msg, no soy, no hydrogonated anything. I only use olive oil or butter when cooking.

Favorite Foods:

- Greek everything!
- Turkey and stuffing ala Thanksgiving and sweet potatoes, southern style of course.
- My mom's chicken & dumplings and her enchilada soup (which is posted)
- My grandmama's squash casserole.
