about me

I live in the healthiest state in the nation good old Colorado! I manage a little downtown shop in our town of Colorado Springs. And my favorite thing in the world to do is cook for my friends and family! Of course why else would I be here. I love good food or what some would call "gourmet" food...I just call it everyday food and wouldn't eat anything else! I love restaurants and devote journals to writing everything good and bad about the restaurants that I eat in...some of my "reviews" would not be appreciated by the chefs, but I tell it how it is! I despise going to restaurants and paying money for food that I can simply make at home. I am so happy to find this website, because I have been attempting to count calories, but I find it impossible with all of the crazy things that I enjoy making...now it looks like there is going to be a way for me to do this and continue doing what I love which is COOKING!

Favorite Foods:

Shrimp, mussels, anything with chicken, I love fish...all types..spinach (I'm really upset that I can't have any right now), asparagus, olives...who am I kidding I could list everything..because I will try anything once and I usually love everything (except canned vegetables)those are disgusting...make em' fresh now that is another matter!

I typically never make something more than once (I know that is terrible) but we have very short lives here and I want to try everything! But I must say my paella is very good and everyone loves my macaroni and cheese (if it wasn't so expensive I would make it more). But very rarely is there anything from my oven that people don't like. I might not like it but I am my worst critic!

I don't really have a favorite restuarant..because like food I eat at different places all the time. There are some very good ones here in the Springs and Denver area...for instance..La Creperie here is consistently very good for breakfast, lunch, or dinner...and the Vesta Dipping Grille in Denver is absolutely excellent!
