Favorite Foods:

Really, pretty much anything Italian, sushi, bread, great steaks, cheese, salads, wine, fresh herbs, chips and salsa, great olive oil, spicy foods, garden tomatoes, home-made salad dressings, anything grilled, salami, swordfish, capers, good coffee.... and oh, how I LOOOOVE Meyer lemons.

I do not really have the greatest sweet tooth.... I do however occasionally enjoy a really faboulous NY cheesecake or perfectly crusty creme brulee. I am also the girl who will probably be seen eating the cake but not the frosting.... unless it's a really divine butter-cream.

Favorite restaurants: Are mostly all in San Diego, our old locale.... (San Diego visitors take note!!!)

Kimosabe (The spicy skirt steak, crusty sweet/spicy-hot brie, and butternut ravioli), The Fish Market (the smoked fish and the location), George's (soup that is to die for!), Parallel 33 (so hip and so fresh), Flemming's Steak House (great cuts of meat with the best Bernaise outside of France), The Hash House-a-Go-Go (for the most incredible, MASSIVE, wonderful breakfasts in the world!) Trattoria Acqua (where I learned to drink wine and love hummous), Kensington Grill (always delivers the most amazing, innovative seafood plates), Ono Sushi (The fact that no menu was needed, ever!) , La Posta N*8 (Special Quesadilla- A carne asada burrito wrapped with not just a tortilla but a freaking quesadilla!!! OMG!!!) , Bronx Pizza (divine artichoke pizza- by the slice!) , Los Panchos (the salsa and the perfectly lardy refried beans!), Casa de Bandini (great outdoor patio and the meanest margaritas outside of Mexico!), Filippi's Pizza Grotto (the perfect comfort food... pepperoni and mushroom pizza and a giant carafe of Chianti). Oh, how I love San Diego.....

Other noteworthy non-San Diego spots: Celadon in Napa Valley (sister restaurant of Cole's Chop House, which is another fav!)- the most incredible wine list and fresh, California cuisine, and Big Water Grill in Tahoe- the view is to-die-for and the food top notch! Since moving to Reno, Lou-Lou's and Ciao are two more great ones to add to the list.

Food peeves..... Over-dressed salads, mushy/over-cooked vegetables, mayonaise based salads, meat cooked "well" and the ever so dreadful sweet pickle.
