I am a teacher in Cluj, Romania.
I am social person who loves to throw parties, especially dinner parties.

Favorite Foods:

I've been cooking all kinds of food since I was a little boy and I continue to this day. Now that I'm a grown up and alone all of that practice has come in useful as well.

I love cooking for the community feeling that it can create, the knowledge that you can do something extremely nice for the people that you care about that doesn't feel like a chore to you.

I've tried cooking all kinds of things. My favorites lately have been attempts at really making use of what's seasonal. Living in Romania you really begin to appreciate seasonality, because things are SUBLIME when they are in season and NONEXISTENT when they're not.

I'm not as much a baker, though I have a good hand with Brazilian sweets. I'm very good with Brazilian and South American food in general, having lived there for a lot of time in my life. I am interested in learning more about Asian cooking, but the proper ingredients just aren't around here.

I think that my specialties tend be heartier things that you cook on the stove. I make very good stews, soups, jambalaya etc. I also love to cook fish and seafood, but have had to give that up living 14 hours away from the nearest sea coast.
