I'm a writer, chief cook and bottle washer, GS leader, hunter of bargains and all-around domestic goddess. I love trying new recipes, and my daughters refer to Alton Brown as "Mom's boyfriend." I read voraciously, to the detriment of the hypothetical cleanliness of my house. I think white chocolate should be illegal, since it's not chocolate.
Almost anything Vietnamese. I have eclectic tastes: the only things I refuse to eat are organ meats (except for chicken liver, which I adore) and Miracle Whip. I think both eggplant and tofu are overrated, but will consider eating them, depending on preparation. I like spicy foods, but it has to be tasty spicy, not just incendiary spicy. I hate restaurants that stack their food and then cover the 3-inch rim of the plates with chopped parsley. It's messy, not trendy. Oh, and I don't like tarragon or licorice of any sort. Which leaves out fennel bulbs but most definitely NOT fennel seeds, without which sausage would be a much poorer incarnation of itself.
