I'm one of the co-hosts in the Asian forum with my dear friends Stella and Peggy. Stop by if you ever have a question about an Asian cuisine. If we can't help you... we will make something up so that we sound smart. We are very customer service oriented. Shut up!
BTW... I have a habit of telling people to "Shut Up!" Please don't take offense if I say that to you... it is a term of endearment.
A little bit about me:
I live in Texas with my boyfriend Dugan. We met standing in line at a coffee and dessert cafe. He ordered the last slice of the Tiramisu I wanted and then asked me to sit at a table with him and share it. It was a whirlwind romance and we moved in together a week later. That was six years ago. I think it may work out.
Dugan and I have two dogs- Farrah and Moose. Moose is a Red Miniature Pinscher who pretty much rules the house and believes the sun revolves around HIM in HIS universe. He is gay. Yep... I have a gay dog. But... he was like that before I adopted him. I didn't turn or coerce him into a being a gay dog. I don't love him any less than my straight dogs, though, and I hope someday he finds a nice Giant Schnauzer to play with.
Farrah is our sweet Lhaso Apso with long blond hair- hence the name Farrah. (as in Fawcett) Her favorite things to do are chase cats and slobber. Much like the real Farrah Fawcett, I suspect.
Edited April 2006: This month we adopted two more MinPins into our family. Demon is a 5 year old Red MinPin and a very rambunctious dog. He is ALL boy and always into mischief. He is undoubtedly, the smartest of our dogs. He taught me how to play poker and I owe him 34 dollars. Never bet on an inside straight, BTW. Grrr.
My boy !Hercules! is a tiny little boy weighing only 5 pounds who has been badly neglected by some not so nice people and is quite sick right now. But he is getting better everyday and will be fine with a lot of love which Dugan and I will enjoy giving him.
Edited July 2006: !Hercules! is well. He survived malnutrition, kennel cough, distemper, and a broken leg. He is, I am thrilled to say, fully recovered and quite a spirited pistol weighing a whopping 6.5 lbs with just 1 more pound to go. Despite his tiny size- he doesn't take ANY crap from the bigger dogs. He is the favored baby in the family and he will live the rest of his days with all of the love Dugan and I can shower him with. Hercules! Hercules! Hercules!
Oh lordy Lord! Don't make !Hercules! angry... isn't he precious? Grrr!

Here are our boys Moose and Demon playing in... umm... I mean...tearing up my garden.

And of course, our resident Princess, Farrah

Moose, !Hercules!, and Dugan resting...

My boys at play...

My boys in an "intimate moment" ![]()

Me and Dugan out on the town...

Potsie sucking up to law enforcement. It didn't work... I later got arrested for public lewdness.

Poor Farrah... She has a Jan Brady complex. Marcia! Marcia! Marcia! The boys get all the attention. ![]()

This pic is only posted because my dear friend ~Leslie~ likes it. I do not know why...
I'm ready for my close-up now. On with the show...

My dear Dugan is a simple, kind man. He is a classic car mechanic/restorer and always has dirty fingernails and smells of gasoline. If I hose him down in the yard he can be cleaned up pretty well though, and is uncommonly handsome. We recently moved into a home that we love and are constantly spending more money on. But... we will live here forever so... what the hell? It's a wonderful place for us and the dogs. My beloved Dugan isn't quite bright however, and I doubt he knows the square root of four. Poor Dugan. I love you anyway, honey.
I would love to compete on a reality TV show such as "Survivor" or the "Great Race"! I am a very resourceful person and can make the best of any situation. I have no enemies... I burn their bodies as soon as I kill them.
My favorite cookbook is The Prudhomme Family Cookbook. I could eat Cajun Food every day for the rest of my life and die a happy person. My dream vacation would be to go to New Orleans and eat so much Cajun food that I explode on Bourbon Street. It is a huge, loud explosion and all that is left of me is a bloody spot and the remains of some crawfish etoufee where I was standing.
I love Zaar. I happened across it accidentally during a Google search for a recipe for something I don't remember and I have been hooked since. My friends and family are very concerned that I spend so much time corresponding with my "little imaginary internet friends" (their words... not mine!) and I think they are planning an intervention. I think that they are being a little harsh trying to institutionalize me.
I feel like I know many of the chefs on Rzaar just from reading their home pages, reading their recipes, and corresponding in the forums. I am making more friends almost daily and have formed some wonderful alliances here. My homepage is under constant revision so please visit often. But don't be rude and stay past my bedtime.
Participation & Awards:

Cajun: Give me some crawfish etoufee or a gumbo and I am your love slave.
Chinese: I prefer the hot and spicy dishes to the delicate dishes. I adore Chinese soups!
Mexican: Oh Lordy how I love Mexican food! Enchiladas, tacos, and especially... chile rellenos!
White Trash Cooking: This is the stuff I was raised on. Casseroles, mac'n cheese, and fried baloney sandwiches. I ain't too proud to have recipes with "Cream of Crap" soup, either.
Fish: Fry it- poach it- bake it- serve it to me raw in a sushi bar. I love fish.
Sweets: I'm not much of a sweet eater, but I do love tiramisu, peach cobbler, flourless chocolate cake with a raspberry sauce, or a good peanut butter cookie. I've never been known to turn down a handful of peanut M&Ms, either.
Milk: Is milk food? I don't know... but they say it does a body good and I drink around eight glasses day. I cannot start my day without a glass of cold moo juice. Or two or three. It is impossible.

Well... I recently celebrated a milestone 40th birthday that I knew would someday come. I am, officially, an old and bitter queen. However, after carefully reflecting on my blessed life, I have 10 reasons to not be depressed.
1.Kidnappers are not interested in me because I'm not worth the ransom.
2.In a hostage situation I am likely to be released first because I take medications every four hours.
3.No one expects me to run into a burning building to save a litter of kittens.
4.People won't call past 9PM because they are afraid they will wake me.
5.People no longer view me as a hypochondriac but as a disease waiting to happen.
6.There is nothing left for me to learn the hard way.
7. I can sell almost everything I own on Ebay because it is "vintage".
8. Now that I'm older I understand why my Dad hoarded toilet paper. And I'm ok with it.
9.It's ok to have more prescriptions in the fridge than food.
10. I don't feel guilty about a damn thing I have ever done.
