about me

I am married and expecting my first kid, a boy, in November 2008. I love to hunt, fish, trap, hike, rock climb, camp, garden and cook. I am a HUGE fan of hot chiles! I just got my first Bhut Jolokia seeds this spring. The chiles are starting to ripen now. My wife and I are in the process of buying a large piece of property to try our hands at a fairly self sustainable homestead. I already raise a big garden of heirloom vegetables and fruits. I will be adding lots of fruit trees, vines and bushes to the new place this spring. I raise meat rabbits and hope to buy some chickens for meat and eggs. We may even raise a pig or cow next year. I make my own beer and wine. I also have a medicinal garden from which I make a lot of herbal remedies. I use organic, self sufficient practices with everything I raise to eat and plan on teaching this to my son as he grows up. We will also be trying out solar power generation and passive solar heating in our new home. My wife likes to say that we were green before green was cool.

Favorite Foods:

Asian, Mexican, Southwestern, Southern, Cajun/Creole and anything spicy. The hotter the better!
