I live in NC. For fun, I like to travel, spend time with family and friends and of course to cook and eat. My passions are family, friends, church and my two cats.

The photo on my AMP is a collage of my two furbabies, Misstail on the top left and Bobtail, bottom right.

If I had a month off of work, I would love to travel and cook, (I may would have time to try more of the delicious recipes on this website). However, this must wait until I retire.

In 2005 I was honored to meet several Zaarites at the Twisted Fork restaurant in Raleigh, NC.

Late in March 2008, I moved back to my hometown,along with my two kitties. The whole town has welcomed me back and lots of people love to see my kitties basking in their window seats and they say the little house I live in finally looks loved. I live on a main corner in my old neighborhood, so everyone knows what I am doing LOL! Ahhh, I love living in a small town.

Our one and only grocery store just closed, so I really have to plan ahead to cook something so I can stop on my way home from work to grocery shop. It did take me a whole month to even test the oven and stove to see if they worked LOL! Seriously, I love being back home and my mother and I are spending more time together (sometimes good and sometimes not so good LOL!)

I can't wait till next spring, one of my best friends and I are going to plow up my daddy's garden and plant one of our own, in memory of my daddy. My dad passed away in Nov. 2007 and did not have a garden that year due to his ill health. I envision tomatoes, squash, peppers, and herbs, lotsa herbs even if most of them are just for the fun of it!

I do now finally have a new laptop at home so I will never log off of Zaar!

Because of Zaar, I have ventured out and tried new and different foods! Spring of 2006, I even planted my first herbs! My teeny weeny herb garden consisted of basil, parsley, chives and rosemary! You can see them here along with our two tomato plants! LOL!



Spring of 2007 - The garden increased to 4 tomato plants, 4 okra plants, 2 pepper plant, 2 squash plants, one zucchini, one jalapeno, basil, chives, cilantro and rosemary!

I love all types of cuisines and will pretty much try anything new.

As far as posting recipes on Zaar, I will post recipes that I have not tasted nor made, but will let you know this in the description. I feel that since people have different tastes than I do, I may just post something that appeals to them. I will let the ingredients speak for themselves. If I try a recipe and do not care for it, I usually chalk it up to differences in tastes and try to explain that in my review. I am HOOKED ON ZAAR!
