This recipe came from the Food Network show, Cooking For Real. I haven't made it yet, but it sounds like just the kind of thing to have while doing some outdoor cooking. I'm posting here so I don't lose it and for nutrition counts.

SERVES 5 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
In a small saucepan, bring water and sugar to a simmer. Cook until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  2. 2
Fill a large pitcher with ice.
  3. 3
Stir in sugar mixture, vodka, and juice. If desired, slice lemon and/or lime into rings about 1/4 inch thick and add to pitcher.

Delicious! This lemonade is tart, sweet, and oh so smooth. It's the kind of drink that can really sneak up on you. I thought that I had vanilla vodka, but found that all I had was raspberry vodka, so I made Sunny's Hard Raspberry Lemonade instead We loved this and went through the entire pitcher in no time. Thank you for sharing this quick and easy recipe...it is definitely a keeper!! Made for Fall 2008 My 3 Chefs
