This was pretty tasty for how easy it was. I used a bold and spicy barbecue sauce and made exactly as directed. It was tasty but I think I'd use just a plain original barbecue sauce next time. Thanks for posting!

I'm giving this a 4 star because it's one that was just okay for me and my roommate and warrants a re-make just to be sure. It did live up to the author's promise of quick and easy. Where it stopped working for me was that I cooked it on high in my crockpot for 2 hrs and then switched it to low for the final 2 1/2 hrs - my crockpot cooks hotter than most I think. The chicken came out a little dry which sounds weird considering it was soaked in BBQ sauce, but it seemed tough and dry to me. Maybe it was the chicken. I don't know. Next time I'll try just cooking it on low the entire time and see if that works better.

This is a fantastic way to cook BBQ chicken. The chicken is so moist and tender, and the juice from the chicken combined with the red onion is different, but surprisingly good. I used a Cajun-Style BBQ and it was out of this world. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe.

Such an easy recipe. It is a dump and run recipe. What is great about cooking chicken pieces in the crockpot is that you can place it in the crockpot frozen and it will be moist and tender when you get home. Barbecue Chicken without the fuss.
