Who's Richard you say? He's one of my dear friends and he told me of this recipe a few years ago. Super simple, tasty, low calorie and inexpensive too.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Place each wedge in foil.
  2. 2
Dot with butter and sprinkle with seasoning salt. If you like, you can drizzle with very small amt olive oil and top off with cracked black pepper.
  3. 3
Close up the foil, making 4 small packages.
  4. 4
Grill on medium (mine registered at 400) for 10-15 minutes.
  5. 5
Remove from grill and let rest for 3-5 minutes to let the juices reabsorb, then remove from foil, pour any remaining juices on top and enjoy!

Nice! I cut back on the butter bc I am trying to diet- that is one four letter word I HATE! Anyway, I cut the butter back to 1 T and it was still delicious. I also did not use the optional olive oil. The cabbage cooked up al dente following these directions and brought out the sweetness- yes sweetness- I know that baffles me how cabbage can turn sweet when it cooks. I used Tony Cachere's for the season salt which gave it a kick that was really nice here. This was so simple yet so tasty! LOVE the clean up too! Just toss the foil in the trash! YES! JB this is one awesome recipe that I can see being fantastic for camping and cookouts as well as grilling at home- like I did. Thanks for sharing this recipe with us! Made for Bevy Tag

I love this recipe. The flavor of the cabbage is the real star. I also like the smoky flavor from the grill!

This cabbage was real bland and not much flavor.

Great recipe. I put a couple pieces of bacon and an onion in this also. Loved it!! I used only 1 tablespoon of butter.
