I love a good chewy oatmeal cookie. These are lower in fat than most recipes and taste delicious. You can put in most any dried fruit. A combination of raisins, golden raisins, chopped dried cherries, and cranberries is delicious.

    Preheat the oven to 325°F.

    Cream butter and sugars.
  3. 3
    Beat in the corn syrup, eggs and vanilla.
  4. 4
    Gradually add combined flours, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

    Stir in the oats and raisins.
  6. 6
    Drop rounded tablespoons on an ungreased cookie sheet and flatten slightly.

    Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges just begin to brown and the middle isn't wet.

    Cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
