Tortilla Ranch Chopped Salad

Recipe #318315 | 30 min | 30 min prep | add private note

I tossed this together to serve with dinner, the Mexican flavors were a hit with me so I thought I would post it to see if others agree. Prep time includes all the chopping. Makes 6 side servings or 2 entree sized portions.

SERVES 6 , 6 side salads (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
After all the veggies are chopped to be about the same size pieces place them all in a large bowl(one with a lid is best). Add the cheese and chips. Top with the seasoning and dressing.
  2. 2
Cover and shake the salad until everything is evenly coated. (If you don't have a large enough bowl with a lid just stir everything.).

Yum! I used a purple bell pepper that a co-worker grew, red onion, blue corn tortilla chips, and skipped the celery. It was a very pretty combo of purple and green - I almost hated to mess it up with dressing! lol Used homemade Better Ranch Dressing and homemade Taco Seasoning (only used about 1 tsp taco seasoning and mixed it into a 1/4 cup ranch). Went awesome with Spicy Ham Slice for dinner. Thanks for the recipe!

I made this as directed using red onion and also added cucumber. I did all my chopping and set it in the frig earlier in the day. Just before dinner I mixed the taco seasoning and ranch together then added it to the salad. Every one liked it. I thought it was really good but maybe lacking something - maybe cilantro? Overall a hit and very easy to throw together. Thanks for sharing!
