Sweet & Sour Meatballs
SERVES 6 , 42 meatballs
Ingredients
Meatballs
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup low-fat milk
- 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Sauce
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
Directions

Gently combine all of the meatball ingredients.2
Form small, bite-size meatballs, dredge in flour and brown in vegetable oil.3
Combine the sauce ingredients and pour over the meatballs.4
Bring to a low simmer and cook for 20 minutes until the meatballs are glazed and cooked through.

Made these to share with a neighbor, & after a nice indulgent taste-test, froze my half of the meatballs for another meal (a meal that I'm so looking forward to)! For what it's worth, I used dark molasses & even included the entire measure of Tabasco sauce (surprise, surprise!) & absolutely enjoyed these VERY TASTY buggers! Thanks for a keeper of a recipe!
